W-e-e-k-e-n-d

You know what I love mosts about the weekend?

The ability to not give a damn when you're ordering the 5th shot of tequila pop and knowing you will have a hell of a time trying to nurse your intense hangover the next day.

I'm just saying...

The Sun Is Going To Eat Me

It's so hot out there!

I feel like the sun is about to goble me up whole! Seriously, it's like 32 degrees right now and I can't even think straight. Oh Winter, I'll never bitch about you ever again. Please come back to me.

On the plus side, my dress finally arrived! Woot! I bought a dress from ebay and I'm so super excited! It's a pink halter neck dress with a very nice blue sash that ties in a bow on the back. The back part of the dress has a longer hemline than the front and it's double layer with the inner layer in hot pink and the top layer in baby pink. It's a little loose on me, though it was supposed to be a Medium size, but it's too pretty for me to worry too much about it.

Ain't it pretty? I'm gonna save it for Valentine's Day! *crosses fingers* Hopes the husband takes me somewhere nice.

And now, I'm going to devour a bowl of chocolate & honeycomb ice cream, sit in front of the air con and watch The Big Bang Theory.

Why My Life Is So Amazing

I know I have not blogged in like 2 weeks now. But my life has been so awesome and busy lately that I find blogging such a mundane task.

If only that was true.

The truth is I've been staying at home doing nothing all day, playing Dynasty Warrior and watching Oprah and Judge Judy. Is it depressing? Kinda. But is it fun? Definitely.
Oprah has got to be the best talkshow host ever! Larry King is as bad as a spoiled fish compared to Oprah. (no offense to Larry's fans out there.) Plus, Oprah gives away awesome gifts! And Judge Judy cracks me up. She's so sarcastic and blunt that it's hilarious watching her giving someone a hard time. Plus, watching dumb people make a fool out of themselves, suing their family members/close friends/neighbours for such small, petty things is pretty funny.

Dynasty Warrior is an awesome game that I played on PS2 years ago. And a few days ago, a friend told me that the game is available online on aeria games. It was a joyous moment. (Yeah, all you WOW players, bite me!)

Some pics to prove that DW is better than any other online games out there. Yes, you heard me. Any other games.

A scene from a battle

DW's characters

Da Xiao, my favourite character

It's a pretty addictive game. Just the other day, I spent 10 hours straight playing this game. So, if you don't have a lot of time to spare, I suggest you don't play this game. Go play WOW, you'll stop playing after about 3 minutes.

OK, the DW's addict is going to stop now and continue with the addiction.
Will try not to have so much of a life, so I can blog more.

If I Were Rich.....

....... here's what I'd do:

Build my own zoo, and another one specially for endangered animals.

Charity

Buy a cool house

Buy a cool car

Buy my husband a castle in Europe. (Yes, he wants a castle)

Travel all around the world

Go on a cruise. With my entire family and in laws.

Buy myself an island. Yeah baby, an island!

Instead of a crazy cat lady, I'll be the crazy dog lady.

Need I say more? Parties people. PartIES.

This is what my wardbrobe will look like. =)

I'll finally be able to buy as many shoes as I want.

I'll buy all those cool gadgets that I don't even know what they're for.

World's Record: Longest Whisper Chain

Why Vodka is Evil

Never...drinking vodka ever again.
Last night, on our supposedly 'quiet night out' with a few friends, the husband and I ended up reaching home at 2.30 in the morning, my head was spinning and that cheeseburger from Mcds was a really bad idea after all.
Woke up at 8.30 this morning and panicked because I thought it was 8.30 at night. Yes, I was that retarded. Sue me.
So yes, I have declared a war against vodka, and never shall I drink it ever again. I will stick to a drink that would not give me a hangover the next morning. Something like...orange juice. Yes. Orange juice is my new best friend.

Sydney Or Not To Sydney, That Is The Question

I'm weighing the pros and cons of moving to Sydney:

PROS:
1) Averagely higher paying salary.
2) Probability of landing a job is easier as there are more job opportunities.
3) There are more shops/bars/clubs in Sydney than in boring lifeless Canberra.
4) My sister and brother in law is in Sydney - which means we can have weekly dinner and shopping spree dates.
5) Averagely cheaper rent. (Saw a couple of beautiful places in North Ryde that costs $270 - $330 for the whole apartment a week, which the husband and I could still afford atm. We are renting ONE room now in a shared house for $200 a week not inclusive of bills and internet.)
6) We can go to the beach whenever we want.
7) My brother in law (the husband's brother) is moving to Sydney, so this means it will be easier for the parents in law to visit us as now they would have to visit us in Canberra then to Sydney to visit him.
8) Mamak is in Sydney.
9) Sydney is way cooler. And I don't just mean the weather.
10) Sydney's Harbour Bridge is awesome.
11) Sydney's Opera House is awesome.
12) Apparently, food is cheaper.
13) Blue Mountain is nearby!
14) It's nearer to Gold Coast! Gold Coast baby! Gold Coast!!
15) Better public transportation
16) More things to do / more places to go to on a boring Saturday night.
17) Better weather than Canberra.
18) Less 'kampung'.

CONS:
1) I hate moving.

Chinese Horoscope 2011

Every year, my mum, aunt and grandmother will sit in the living room and have a very long discussion about horoscopes. Western horoscopes, Asian horoscopes, star signs, palm readings, face readings, feng shui, you name it - they've read it. Every year, they buy books and magazines, read the newspapers and watch shows about luck and horoscopes and ways to 'improve your life, career, home, love, health and luck.'

Of course, every year, my mum will tell me the things I should and shouldn't do. Colours and numbers I should avoid, food I should eat, holidays I shouldn't go to, how I have to save money, work hard and buy her a porche. (ok, the last bid was just an exaggeration, but you know what I mean)

Anyway, this year because I'm in Australia and my parents have moved to the States, my mum then emailed the horoscopes to my sister and I. Now, I feel obligated to share it with all of you. And perhaps, it will either help you or humour you.

Like they say, it's better safe than sorry. Horoscopes may sound 'unscientific' , 'unlogical' , 'mumbo jumbo', but what harm could it be to follow a few simple things like, "don't wear anything green this year."? LOL.

Once again, Happy New Year all.

Just stay positive, be proactive and play your cards right. Then things will fall into place. Devote your time and energy to care for elderly family members. 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010

Much improvement is heading your direction this year, especially in terms of professional development and career outlook. However, think before you act and stay calm when you approach problems. Take care of your health and those of family at home. Remember: Prevention is better than cure. Relationship-wise, romance is on your side. Just look a little closer to home.

2011 Resolutions!

A brand new year, a brand new list of resolutions. Here's to sticking to it!

1) Get a job that I really want, not a job that I'd grab because I'm desperate for a job / money.
2) Go to gym - Yoga & Martial Arts perhaps? (Take up Zumba classes no matter how much the husband hates it.)
3) Do gardening at least once a fortnight (because let's face it, I'm never ever going to do it more than that.)
4) Go through clothes and pack those clothes I'm 'never ever going to wear ever again' and donate it to charity.
5) Save money for the 2011 holiday trip back to Kuala Lumpur.
6) Start discussing and planning with the husband about the options of either moving to Sydney or getting our own place end of this year.
7) Start long-term saving for car/house.
8) Take up that Animal Care course I've been talking about for ages.
9) Meet up with friends more often. (This does NOT have to involve alcohol)
10) Meet new people.
11) Fatten the husband up. Shove more food down his throat! =)
12) Read more books!
13) Charity!! Volunteering!! RSPCA & Salvation Army here I come!
14) Be a more patient, understanding, loving, helpful and generous person - wife, daughter, sister and friend.

A Year Ago Today

Another year older
A little bit stronger
A little bit wiser then
A year ago today

Looking over my shoulder
I was so much younger then
I can't believe what happened
A year ago today

And I just can't forget about it
It wouldn't mean a thing
You went away
A year ago today

Another year gone by
Oh the tears have run dry
Life seemed so unkind
A year ago today

And I just can't understand it
And I don't think I ever will
You went away
A year ago today

And I just can't understand it
And I don't think I ever will
You went away
A year ago today

And how many times have I questioned myself
What more could I do
And how many times have I fooled myself
Over you oh

You've gotta pick yourself up
Take another look
And dust yourself off cause life's too good,
I'll say it to myself and i'll say it again
Love will never end

And though we're so far apart
You're forever in my heart

Another year older
A little bit stronger
On this anniversary
You're watching over me

You went away
A year ago today
You ran away
A year ago today

Hello 2011! Goodbye 2010!!

It seems like only last week that I welcomed the year 2010 with Jenn and Ryan at this fabulous posh party in downtown KL. Now it's 2011 and I can't believe how fast time flies.

The husband and I celebrated our first NYE together drinking at home, and then headed off to the city and to our surprise, there was an open air club. Everywhere else were packed and had long lines of people queing up to go into bars/clubs, so we decided to check out the open air club. I'm telling you, people can sometimes be idiots. There was this group of guys in front of us, and then they decided to take off their t-shirts and dance around like a bunch of lunatics. I was annoyed and like the two girls with them, not impressed. They kept jumping around and pumping their fists into the air. I was thinking, 'Yeah I know it's NYE, but that doesn't mean you have to shove your smelly armpit into my face while shouting wooooooooooooooooooooooooootttttttttttt so loud that I had went temporary deaf.'

Then of course, we had the bitchy girls all holding hands walking with their boobs so pushed up you wonder how they even breathe. So pissed off when they started shoving their way through and nearly stepped on my toe. So rude. I felt a twist of pride though, when I yelled at them to stop shoving and one of them turned and gave me the guiltiest look ever and apologised.
Hah. Take that b*tch!

I guess it's gone were the days when I still had the energy to be in the middle of a huge crowd celebrating the end of the year with a bunch of friends, getting drunk and rowdy. Now, I very much prefer having a few drinks and listen to some music and go back home and snuggle with my darling husband. Is this the old age syndrom? OH NO!

At the stroke of midnight, Tim pulled me in for a long kiss and I felt like the luckiest woman alive. I love that man! =)

Anyhoo, the fireworks were amazing and lasted for a few minutes. Breathtaking, colourful fireworks filled our otherwise dark sky and the ooohhhsss and ahhhsss and other cheers from everyone else around us were just amazing.

Happy New Year everyone!
